Brazil is a global reference in energy diversity, integration, and efficiency, and the Northeast region stands out as one of the country’s main hubs for energy investment. In September, Brazil expanded its national power grid by 1.4 GW from renewable sources driven by solar, wind, and small hydropower plants, according to the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL). The federal agency also reported that by the end of September 2025, the country had already added 5,921.34 MW in new generation units — from both clean and thermal sources — maintaining its rapid growth trajectory.

In this context of expansion and foreign investment, the second edition of iBEM – The International Meeting on Brazil’s Energy Market will take place at the Salvador Convention Center, from March 24th to 26th, 2026.
